Macy Intermediate School Community Learning Garden, with Extreme Makeover’s celebrity landscape designer Eduardo Xol

J.F. Macy Intermediate School Community Learning Garden //

RACAIA designed, provided construction documentation, and construction observation for a community garden on a plot donated by the Montebello Unified School District. The Community Learning Garden at J.F. Macy Intermediate School encompasses approximately 8,000 square feet of urban greenspace. Designed with plots for teaching agriculture and horticulture to students between the ages of 11 and 14, RACAIA teamed up with celebrity landscape architect Eduardo Xol of ExtremeMakeover: Home Edition to develop a space that was open, inviting, and interesting for the school and the surrounding community.
