OUR COMPANY'S CULTURE //
Our company dynamic is based on the fusion of two principles: strategic insights and refined execution.
Everyone at RACAIA takes on the role of a leader, and we want everyone to be ready for the opportunity when the time arrives. To us, a leader is a self-starter with the wisdom, insight, and ability to take the initiative to meet challenges with courage, confidence and a successful plan of action.
That said, every team members at RACAIA supports and is supported by every other member of our team, no matter the level of expertise, no matter the hierarchy. All expertise is utilized on all projects, all designed are considered by each members, and all strategies are rigorously evaluated internally for quality, refinement and overall impact.
Our company is built on a sturdy foundation of intellect, capability and vision for how much better, smarter and more intersectional the world can be.
OUR CULTURE //
At RACAIA, we’ve created a collaborative space built upon a spatial, architectural and stylistic vision. This environment reflects a seamless integration of form and space, light and material, and style and use. It is designed to inspire creativity and encourage dynamic interactions.
Our designs project that this vision, which can be described as honest, intersectional, charming, radical, graceful, thoughtful, and even playful.
We strive to be imaginative and to surprise our clients by doing things differently, in our approach to architecture as well in how we interact in our office each day.
Our design is a reflection of our values. We believe great ideas come from anyone in our company, and it’s important that we all express these ideas with clarity, foresight, and consideration for others.
We are cohesive. Whether it’s the best or most challenging times, we’re dedicated to achieving our shared goals together. We are co-players, facing obstacles and opportunities alike knowing full well that each of us is looking out for the other. Our capacity to work successfully together, no matter what the project or circumstances, is proof of our team’s unity and respect for one another.
We are generous. We have empathy for everything our fellow teammates experience, and value the positive power of trust and support we provide each other. Our people are our source of strength, and though rewards are of course based on merit and effectiveness, we stay open and flexible for each person at RACAIA, work-wise, schedule-wise, and idea-wise.
We are intersectional. Diversity is the key to our strength, as we combine the experiences and talents of everyone on our team. We are each valued for our unique skills, abilities and insights, and we strive constantly to build and maintain an inclusive, dynamic workplace that takes full advantage of these strengths. To that end, we hire and subcontract with an intent for cultural, ethnical, racial, ability and gender inclusion at every turn, for projects across the board. Our commitment to in-house intersectionality and open discussions of bias and oppression are imperative to our openness and respect for one another.
We are humble. We fully realize the importance of one another’s weaknesses as well as our strengths, and take on supportive roles with no ego in-house. We are always willing to learn and seek out information from all stakeholders, engineering disciplines, experts, clients and vendors, and training with the intent of always approaching design and project management with an open, beginner’s mindset. You never know where inspiration comes from, after all.
We are impactful. Focus, motivation, intention and hard work are RACAIA’s core objectives. We are artistic, curious, and always ready to rethink and recalibrate when new information arrives. We learn from everywhere and everyone, and are inspired by strong designers, leaders and thinkers worldwide. Our intention is always to be open, communicate clearly, understand everyone’s perspective, resolve problems with purpose, approach solutions with spirit, and above all enjoy the artistic and technical adventures of being architects.
