New Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Gardens Entryway, balancing historic style with strong environmentalism

Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Gardens Entryway Redesign //

RACAIA was tasked to provide conceptual re-design and master planning of the 127-acre Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, a multi-million dollar project involving the County of Los Angeles, the Arboretum Board of Trustees and RACAIA Architecture & Interior Design. Principal Architect Richard A. Chavira, AIA is leading this endeavor and conceptual design, which has been presented and approved by the Board of Trustees. The user groups varied from long-standing community advocates, to millionaire donors, to visiting elementary school children—all of which provided us enormous insights to inform design. Fundraising is currently being conducted in order to implement RACAIA’s design.
